As every Hollywood actress knows - looking picture perfect for your close up is all part of the job.
And Cameron Diaz made sure she was going to look her best for next appearance on celluloid with a visit to the hair salon.
The 42-year-old was seen leaving Mèche in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles on Thursday, which caters to some of the acting elite.
However it was hard to know what the actress had got done, as she had her caramel blonde locks pulled back off her face in a low bun.
Cameron kept her outfit casual, wearing a pair of faded denim skinny jeans which has shotgun hole detailing.
Keeping cool in the LA sun she wore a cropped white jacket in the same material over a low round neck t-shirt.
A pair of flat beige sandals adorned her feet and she had her brown leather bag slung over her shoulder.
The actress was clearly keen to stay hydrated as she also carried a large glass bottle of water which she clutched in her hand.
Her skin looked fresh and dewy and she had only a hint of make-up on.
Mèche is run by Tracey Cunningham, a colourist used by many celebrities, and Neil Weisberg.
The name is the french word for 'a highlight' or 'a lock of hair.'
It is also a nod to the history of the location, which housed the legendary Menage a Trois salon some decades ago.
Cameron did not appear to have changed the colour of her locks on her visit, however she may have just popped in for a consultation.
Married life seems to be agreeing with the actress, who tied the knot with Benji Madden in January.
The pair wed in a lavish ceremony at her sprawling LA mansion.
However they had to spend a lot of time apart in the first few months of their union, and the rocker was in Australia fulfilling judging duties on The Voice Kids in Australia with his brother Joel.
